The theme of this year's show is the privatization of public education and the threat to our democracy that is posed by a citizenship that is not well educated or politically engaged.

The Mime Troupe has invited guest speakers to participate in post-show discussions at select shows. Our invited guests will join the SCHOOLED collective, cast members for 30 minute post-show discussions for the following performances:

Tabling
At select shows there will organizations set up with tables to provide more information to audiences about ways they can get involved with political and educational opportunities in their communities.

SEO Scholars Program, free eight-year academic program that gets underserved public high school students to and through college-with a 95% college graduation rate. Scholars commit to over 720 additional academic hours during high school to help them prepare for college.

San Francisco Department of Elections, the completely non-partisan San Francisco Department of Elections helps with registering to vote anywhere in California, checks that your registration is up-to-date, especially important if you've moved since the last time you voted and ensures that you get all the answers to voting related questions.San Francisco Elections has been conducting free, fair, and functional elections in this city since 1878.

Move to Amend Coalition works to stop corporate rule by, among other tactics, ending corporate personhood and money being equated with free speech. On the front lines of democracy defense, we collaborate with diverse grassroots organizations using many tactics such as hosting "stampedes" where people stamp their cash with revolutionary messages.

Potrero Hill Democratic Club was founded in 2007, on the beliefs that the government should be accountable to the needs of all people and that Democrats should have a role in shaping our neighborhood. The club is committed to traditional Democratic party values of building a strong and diverse economy, honoring labor, providing human services, protecting the environment and working towards a world at peace.

Contra Costa County Department of Elections is here to answer any questions and provide information on the different ways to vote, new programs we are offering and where to find helpful information about candidates and measures on the ballot. The voter registration deadline is October 24th, and if anyone has changed their name or moved, they need to re-register by that day to be able to vote in November.

Santa Clara Department of Elections provides quality services with highest level of integrity, efficiency, and accuracy in voter registration and election processes. We are open and transparent, making sure the public understands our operations, and encouraging community input and involvement in the elections process.

Community College San Francisco Coalition has been in an intense political battle with its accreditor who is using the accreditation process to impose their vision of education reform. Just a few examples include the mission statement changed to exclude lifelong learning and cultural enrichment, over 30,000 students pushed out, the diversity departments under threat, further downsizing plans, and selling off valuable public real estate.
