Past, Present and Future Troupers

Reviving after the post holiday haze, these are busy times for Mime Troupers. While former Troupers reunite in a brand new play (see below) , present Troupers are brainstorming ideas for this summer's show as our apprentice Troupers dubbed "Emerging Artists in Residence" are rehearsing projects of their own (also see below). Simultaneously, beginning  next week, our 16th Annual Youth Theater Project  just might turn some unwitting teens into the Troupers of the future.

Though the economy remains challenging we are hoping to aid in the recovery effort by announcing two job opportunities!

The funding pie continues to shrink and the remaining slices are thinner and thinner. Notoriously frugal, we have finally hit that point of nothing left to cut.

In order to continue to serve you, our community, we are looking to you to commit to sustaining us as we continue to create a practical model that reflects "The New Economy" so that we can continue to offer our free shows and summer workshop.

We are still seeking new sources of revenue, from big, non corporate sources. If you have any tips or are potential angel yourself, please contact us!

Troupe Vets Reunite in COUNTER ATTACK!

Written by Joan Holden, directed by Sharon Lockwood, starring Joan Mankin. With Arthur Holden in supporting roles, Bruce Barthol on guitar & bass and Dan Chumley designing the set!

Stagebridge is honored to announce that they've commissioned an original play from Holden. Loosely based on Candacy Taylor's book Counter Culture, Holden deftly shatters stereotypes of aging workers, tapping into personal stories to deconstruct complex politics. Mankin brings years as a clown and juggler, Lockwood brings years of performing farce, and Holden brings a year's experience as an inept waitress to the story of 70-something Marlene's triumph over 20-something Courtney, who wants her job.

February 3 - March 4 at Ashby Stage in Berkeley.
