Dear Trouper,
Although it's been dry there was no drought of audience appreciation for Ripple Effect this summer. And now we say thanks to all of you for making this season a great success!
We saw many familiar faces and a whole bunch of new ones. Many of you saw the show multiple times and stopped to share your own housing horror stories or lament the corporate hijacking of our "cool grey city of love". Even tourists told us of similar stresses in their cities and towns. We clearly hit a nerve. In fact the response has ignited our hopes for a West Coast tour of Ripple Effect in Fall 2015! Stay tuned.
But first things first- we have a lot of other balls in the air too. Starting with a brand new compact Fall session of our Youth Theater Project (YTP) beginning in October. Then our annual Winter/Spring YTP session begins in February 2015. In between, we are busy with other shows, long term planning meetings and a video edit that hopefully we'll be able to make available to those who didn't see the show. And of course we are already talking about next summer's topic. Right now the word "freedom" keeps popping up. That and the idea that everyone talks about their rights but do they really know them? You can exercise your freedom of speech by joining that discussion on our Facebook page.
Especially in an election season we can not indulge apathy. Because after all ..."there's no such thing as not political!".

Times are tough for everyone, we know, but if you could kick in a few extra dollars by adopting a bill the Mime Troupe will be able to wrap up our Summer Season AND start focusing on next year's show!
